About Me
My name is Stefania Scardigli, I am Italian and was born and raised near Milan (Lombardy). Since my mother came from near Sanremo (Liguria) and my father from Livorno (Leghorn, Tuscany), I spent a large part of my childhood and many of my adult summers in those two beautiful regions. As a side affect I gained a polished accent with different influences but no specific regional marks.
I have a University degree in Italian, a specialisation in Linguistics, the IoL Diploma in Translation and the CELTA.
I have studied English since I was a child, I studied German for a few years during University and I am currently tackling Mandarin Chinese, so I know what it means to learn a language and how hard it can be.
I have taught Italian to foreigners in Milan, Soul (South Korea) and Chennai (India). I understand the challenges both in the language and in understanding the quirks of Italians.
I am patient and I like to add some fun to my lessons and to make them engaging through the use of technology. I like to use authentic material based on your interests.
